TERRORISM: TRUE OR FALSE?

Terrorism and its synonyms in Pashtu, Dari and Arabic are expressions which are uttered a lot in today’s world, more than any other expressions. From official and non-official meetings to social and print media, in all these only this word is uttered and mentioned with regard to what terrorism did? And terrorism is a threat to the world and … but despite the fact that the expression is the main topic of discussion of in today’s world and is discussed in most languages of the world, still no one has presented a conclusive and sensible definition for the people of the world of what the word terrorism actually means.

Even if the leading elements of the international colonialists and other regional servants discuss any other subject they are hard-pressed to find a rational meaning for this word. For many years westerners and supporters of the west have screamed terrorism .. terrorism .. and that if it is not prevented it will ruin the entire world. In order to prevent this phenomenon, they have already taken captive the two independent nations of Iraq and Afghanistan. They have frozen billions of dollars of the charitable institutions of the Islamic world. They have issued economical sanctions for most Islamic countries and they have threatened all the jihadi and freedom movements in most parts of the world. The genocide of the Muslim Umma [nations/community] is in progress. The hated jails of the colonialists are crowded with Muslims young and old. Generally speaking, terrorism and terror cast a shadow over the entire world, but the poor and suffering mankind still don’t know what terrorism means.

When the great minds of the colonialists want to start a conspiracy, first they find a topic to confuse the minds of the people of the world. They deceive the public forum and pretend that the situation is so difficult and complicated. Then they propagate their thoughts with a wide spread so as to impose them on the people of the world. Then they can do whatever they want, taking advantage of the people’s unawareness.

A few years ago, you would have been hard pressed to find someone who knew what terrorism was. If someone were to look in the books, dictionaries or websites of the past few years, you won’t even be able to find the word in them. In our culture, the expression seems to have been imposed and seems very new. Our people may have only heard it on the radio stations of the westerners. However, the terrorism that the western colonialists are search for in the villages, lanes and tents of Afghanistan is a fiction that was first brought to life and trained with the support of the west itself.

According to independent research, the history of colonialism and the occupation of the world began at the same time when Europe was about to start the glorified period of the industrial revolution. In Europe, Britain, Italy and France, others started their interpersonal compilations to satisfy their devilish wishes, as a result of which some small nations of Europe and other lesser-known nations in Asia and Africa were caught in their traps. When disagreements sprung up among the European invaders regarding the geographical division of the land of the small nations, they started to interfere into each other’ colonies and internal affairs. They used to attack each others’ interests by deploying their secret agents. They used to ruin the public-interest institutions and mechanisms, and they called these actions of the other ‘terrorism’.

The two-faced colonialists of the west at that time used the expression to their benefit as a sharp knife in such a way that they would use it to cut and eat apples for themselves, but they would rip open the chests of others on the other hand. By this I mean to say that if they conducted such actions [terrorism] it would be said to be in the national interest, but if the opposite country would retaliate with similar actions then it would be called terrorism.

Since that time many centuries have now passed, but again terrorism is used as such a phenomenon, from which the world needs to be saved. This time they find and identify it in the Islamic world and especially in those countries and nations that have an Islamic soul and who want to have an independent leadership. All the true Islamic institutions, charitable organisations, religious and educational administrative bodies and freedom movements of the Islamic world are accused of terrorism.

As we mentioned before, the result of an unclear definition for the word ‘terrorism’ helped the colonialists to find a handle for their axe to oppress legitimate movements. Two decades ago, the Afghan resistance against the Russian invasion was deemed legitimate by all the western countries and the resistance was confirmed and was strengthened with a lot of equipment and funds. However today, the same Afghans who are once again fighting for their independence find that their combat is defamed because the Afghan combat does not match with their interests this time round.

The insurgencies in Darfur, Sudan and East Timor, where the non-Muslim minorities were involved in independence struggles, are examples of places where the Security Council prepared programmes to send peace-keeping forces to help them, but the unlucky nation of Somalia on the “horn of Africa” was deprived of its Islamic leadership – who had gained that position with their blood – as some members of that regime were accused of having relations with terrorists. Here we shouldn’t forget to recall Palestine, Kashmir and the Chechen jihadi movements which were previously blacklisted.

Now, it is clear that terrorism as an expression has neither meaning nor a definition and it will not be defined in the future, too, because as long as it doesn’t have a definition the colonialists will use it as a tool and a weapon. It is a cause of much regret that still some of our legislators and thinkers accept the fiction as reality because the 24-hour western propaganda machine has conquered their hearts and faith, and they can never stand back to find out that the colonialists are practicing their two-faced polices. The colonialists have found other words to express terrorism – their self-made phenomenon – in other languages. In Arabic they propagated terrorism as Irhaab. If we study the chosen word deeply, it means ‘to scare the enemies of God’, and in the holy Qur’an it is noted as the basis or goal of jihad [Surat al-Anfal verse 60].

With the very choice by the colonialists of the word irhaab to mean terrorism it wants to indirectly threaten the Islamic umma in that terrorism is the very basis of jihadi morals and your thoughts [as Muslims], and that even you have been trying to oppress it! Otherwise, nothing exists in the word terrorism. It is quite obvious that jihad is the only guarantee for the existence of Muslim nations. Now it is up to the Muslims to understand – whether to continue in ignorance, or to think about the truth and comprehend that situation and discriminate between the reality and the fiction.
